Global Outreach and Inclusion
- Launched a successful regional strategy for sub-Saharan Africa, including:
- Translation of the journal checklist into Shona
- Two webinars tailored to Zimbabwean librarians and researchers
- A pan-African webinar in collaboration with Research4Life
- Released a Japanese primer video, significantly increasing engagement from Japan. With support from J-STAGE, the video reached 462 views in 2024.
Website Growth and Metrics
- The TCS website has shown steady traffic growth since its relaunch in 2022, with top-performing pages including:
- Journals Checklist: 242k visits
- Books and Chapters Checklist: 25.6k visits
- Japanese Journals Checklist: 24.7k visits
- Over 18,900 downloads of the English checklist since March 2022.
- Introduction of downloadable posters and media graphics (90 downloads since October 2024).
Tools and Translations
- Continued commitment to multilingualism with:
- 50 language versions of the journal checklist
- 22 language versions of the books and chapters checklist
- In 2024:
- Added 2 new journal checklist translations and 2 new book & chapter checklist translations
- Updated 11 book and 10 journal checklist translations
- Launched a Toolkit for Librarians, downloaded 422 times
Communications and Social Media
- Growth of the newsletter list to 5,000+ subscribers
- Launch of a Bluesky account in October 2024, gaining 814 followers
Strategic Planning
- New 2024–2025 Operational Plan focused on community champions and regional engagement
- A holistic approach to translations is in development, aiming for consistency across all languages and resources
