Video guide for librarians
We recently released a video titled “Publishing Due Diligence“, presented by Katherine Stephan, the Research Engagement Librarian at Liverpool John Moores University. In the video, Katherine shares her experience and explains how she uses the principles of “Think. Check. Submit” to help researchers identify trusted publishers. She emphasises that there is no single list to check for trusted publishers and highlights the importance of diligent research to avoid potential pitfalls.
Checklists
Our checklist for journals is available in over forty languages, and our checklist for books and chapters is available in twenty languages. If you have not visited our website for a while, please take a moment to look. Our new website now offers interactive and downloadable checklists, making it easier for researchers and librarians to use our tools.
Librarians can also help us to get the word out
Did you know that library websites are one of the significant sources of traffic to Think. Check. Submit.? To promote TCS, publishers and libraries can add a brief explanation and link to their website and embed our short video. You can visit https://bit.ly/3QyMbaR to learn how to do this. Embedding the video can help increase awareness and educate researchers about predatory publishing. We have an English language version and a Japanese language version.
Events
If you’re organizing a webinar or online event about predatory publishing, kindly let us know. We may provide a speaker or presentation slides for your event. If you are presenting yourself, you may find our pre-made slides useful.
